音乐舞蹈学院简介

我校有着上百年的音乐舞蹈教育传统,自1903年创立湖南师范馆以来,我校就聚集了田汉、邱望湘等一批艺术大师,培养了吕骥、胡然等一批音乐家。红色艺术创演积淀深厚,音乐舞蹈教育特色鲜明。2008年我校音乐与舞蹈学科正式创办本科教育,2017年建成湖南省硕士点建设学科,同年音乐学立项为湖南省“十三五”综合改革试点专业,2018年音乐与舞蹈学科获批为湖南省一流应用特色学科,2019年音乐学建设为湖南省一流专业,学院进入湖南省一本招生行列,2020年舞蹈学获批为湖南省一流建设专业,2022年音乐学获批国家一流建设专业,开始与湖南师范大学联合培养学科教学音乐方向硕士研究生,2024年开始独立招收学科教学音乐方向硕士研究生。

办学理念:在学校全面推进“红色一师”“品质一师”“活力一师”“幸福一师”建设的战略布局下,本学科坚持五育并举、立德树人、以美育人、以文化人,遵循“德才兼备、博学精艺、终身发展”的专业教育理念,聚焦新时代国家“强师计划”和文化艺术数字化新业态,以学生终身发展为中心,以社会职业需求为导向,全面深化教育教学改革,着力造就“站好讲台”“站稳舞台”“立身文创”的复合型音乐舞蹈艺术人才。

师资队伍:学院组建了一支崇德尚艺、求真务实、团结奋进、充满活力的师资队伍。有来自美、法、俄、奥等国家音乐院校、师范院校的艺精俊杰,他们求学海外,饱学西洋;有来自国内著名音乐舞蹈专业院校、师范大学、综合性大学的笃学才俊,他们躬身乐舞,淬火成钢。学院现有专业教师71人,其中博士29人,占比40.85%,教授7人,副教授27人,高级职称占比47.89%,另有特聘教授3人,在读博士6人,湖南省新世纪创新人才2人,湖南省骨干教师、教学能手4人,特聘表演艺术家5人。

办学条件:学院建有高规格专业剧场、音乐厅各1座,多媒体、数码钢琴、合唱、器乐、舞蹈、MIDI制作、录音、教学法等教室共28间,琴房249间,数码钢琴124台,教学钢琴272台,三角演奏钢琴3台。中外乐器200台件,演出服装300余套,工具书、中外期刊30余种,音像资料1000余套,专业图书和各种中外文图书10000余册。

学科研究:本学科大力推进应用型特色学科建设,创建科研平台,展开实践研究,形成了坚实的学科基础。学院下设音乐教育、音乐学、舞蹈学、舞蹈表演四个专业教学系部,现有全国初等音乐教师教育中心1个,湖南省湖湘民族民间艺术教育研究基地1个,湖南省大学生艺术创新训练中心1个,湖南省校企合作创新创业教育基地1个,楚音文化研究所1个,音乐舞蹈学学科发展中心1个,音乐舞蹈专业教学运行与教师发展中心1个,音乐舞蹈艺术创作发展中心1个,并建有合唱、管乐、弦乐、民乐、流行音乐5个学生实践艺术团。近五年获国家社科基金、艺术基金项目7项,国家部委项目5项,省级科研项目60余项;出版专著22部,教材6部,发表学术论文近300篇,获省级优秀社科成果、教学成果奖5项,湖南省“五个一”工程奖2项。

艺术实践:近年来,本专业学生出国展演6次,完成创新研究项目15项,参加央视及出国演出近200人次。获各级各类表演奖项149项,其中国家级奖项22项,如集体艺术表演《村里来了个师范生》获全国第六届大学生艺术展演一等奖。近年来,我院师生原创音乐、舞蹈作品50余部,在中央电视台等媒体展演20余次,出国访问演出12次,专业竞赛获奖120余项。

人才培养:自创办本科以来,本专业有80余名毕业生升学攻读硕博研究生,其中一部分人已经成长为音乐舞蹈学科中学有专攻的研究人员、专家学者;为全国城乡普通音乐舞蹈教育事业输送了2000多名音乐舞蹈教师,现已成长为音乐舞蹈教学名师、特级教师、教研员以及校长等行政管理人员的毕业生达100余人;有近200名毕业生活跃在文艺舞台上与文化管理领域,有的已经成长为一级演员、正高级馆员与研究员。


Introduction to The College of Music and Dance

Hunan Frist Normal University boasts a century-long tradition of excellence in music and dance education. Since its establishment as Hunan Normal Academy in 1903, it has been a hub for renowned artists such as Tian Han and Qiu Wangxiang, nurturing talents like Lv Ji and Hu Ran. With a rich history in revolutionary art performances, our music and dance education program exhibits distinctive features. In 2008, our university officially introduced undergraduate education in music and dance disciplines. By 2017, we had established a master’s degree program in Hunan Province, designated as a comprehensive reform pilot major in Hunan Province during the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan.” In 2018, it received recognition as a top-tier applied specialty in Hunan Province, and in 2019, it evolved into a top-tier specialty in Hunan Province, securing a spot in the first batch undergraduate enrollment programs in our province. In 2022, the music discipline achieved national “Double First-Class” status, and we initiated a collaboration with Hunan Normal University for joint education and independent enrollment of master’s students in music education.

Educational Philosophy: Under the overarching strategic framework of “Red HNFNU,” “Quality HNFNU,” “Dynamic HNFNU,” and “Happy HNFNU” promoted throughout the university, we adhere to the principles such as “holistic development,” “cultivation of morality and nurturing of talents,” “education through aesthetics,” and “cultivation of cultured individuals”. We follow the professional educational philosophy of “virtue and talent combined, broad knowledge and profound skills, lifelong development,” focusing on meeting the goals of the national “Teacher Strengthening Program” in the new era and adapting to the digital transformation of culture and art. With students’ lifelong development at the center, and guided by the demands of society and the profession, we are committed to comprehensive educational and pedagogical reforms. Our primary aim is to nurture versatile talents in the field of music and dance, who can excel both in the classroom and on the stage, as well as thrive in the dynamic world of cultural and creative arts.

Teaching Staff: The college has assembled a faculty team characterized by moral integrity, dedication to truth, practicality, unity, and vitality. This team comprises exceptional talents from music schools and teacher training institutions in countries such as the United States, France, Russia, and Austria, who have pursued overseas education and embraced Western culture. Additionally, there are dedicated scholars and talents from renowned domestic music and dance institutions, normal universities, and comprehensive universities, who have immersed themselves in the arts and honed their skills. Currently, the college boasts a team of 66 professional teachers, including 26 with doctoral degrees (39.39% of the faculty), nine professors, 23 associate professors (48.48% with senior titles), three distinguished professors, five doctoral candidates, two Hunan Province New Century Innovative Talents, four Hunan Province outstanding teachers and teaching experts, and five specially appointed performing artists, enriching the diversity of expertise within our faculty.

Educational Facilities: The college is well equipped with high-standard resources, including a professional theater and a music hall, a total of 28 classrooms designed for multimedia, digital pianos, choir, instrumental music, dance, MIDI production, recording, and pedagogy. It provides 249 practice rooms, 124 digital pianos, 272 instructional pianos, and three grand pianos for performance. The college houses 200 musical instruments from both Chinese and Western traditions, over 300 sets of performance costumes. Furthermore, there is an extensive library with more than 30 types of reference books, domestic and international journals, a collection of over 1,000 sets of audiovisual materials, along with over 10,000 volumes of specialized books, encompassing a wide range of Chinese and foreign-language literature.

Disciplinary Research: We are dedicated to advancing the development of applied specialized disciplines, establishing research platforms, conducting practical research, resulting in a robust disciplinary foundation. The college comprises four specialized teaching departments: Music Education, Musicology, Dance Studies, and Dance Performance. It currently hosts several significant research centers, including a National Center for Elementary Music Teacher Education, a Research Base for Hunan Province Huxiang Ethnic and Folk Arts Education, a Hunan Provincial Center for College Student Artistic Innovation Training, a Hunan Province School-Enterprise Cooperation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Base, a Chu Music Culture Research Institute, a Music and Dance Discipline Development Center, a Music and Dance Professional Teaching and Teacher Development Center, and a Music and Dance Artistic Creation and Development Center. Additionally, it supports five student art troupes specializing in choral music, wind music, string music, folk music, and popular music. In the past five years, this discipline has successfully secured seven projects from the National Social Science Fund and Art Fund, five projects from national ministries, and over 60 provincial research projects. Moreover, it has contributed significantly to academic literature with the publication of 22 monographs, six textbooks, and nearly 300 academic papers, earning five provincial awards for outstanding achievements in social sciences and teaching, as well as two awards under the “Five-One Project” in Hunan Province.

Artistic Achievements: In recent years, students in this major have showcased their talents on the international stage through 6 overseas display and have successfully completed 15 innovative research projects. They have also participated in nearly 200 appearances on China Central Television (CCTV) and international platforms. These efforts have earned them a total of 149 performance awards, including 22 prestigious national-level awards. Notably, the collective artistic performance “A Normal College Student Came to the Village” received the top honor at the 6th National University Student Art Exhibition. In recent years, our faculty and students have created more than 50 original music and dance works, showcased them on media platforms like China Central Television (CCTV) over 20 times, and participated in 12 international visiting performances. They have also achieved success in professional competitions with over 120 awards.

Talent Cultivation: Since the inception of the undergraduate program, this major has witnessed the academic growth of over 80 graduates who pursued further studies at the master’s and doctoral levels. A portion of them has matured into dedicated researchers and esteemed scholars specializing in the domain of music and dance. The program has significantly contributed to the national landscape of music and dance education with more than 2000 music and dance educators, over 100 of whom have excelled in their roles as distinguished music and dance instructors, senior educators, educational researchers, school principals and administrators. Furthermore, nearly 200 alumni have found their niche on cultural stages and in cultural management, with several achieving the esteemed titles of first-class performers, senior curators, and researchers.
